Phi Theta Kappa recognizes academic achievement and provides members with opportunities for scholarships, leadership, and community service.
Phi Theta Kappa is the international honor society for two-year colleges. Gamma Tau is the LCC chapter of Phi Theta Kappa.
You are eligible for Phi Theta Kappa membership once you have completed at least 12 credits at LCC with a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) equal to or greater than 3.5. Invitations to eligible students will be extended once per quarter.
Phi Theta Kappa members participate in college and community service projects. Members may also pursue leadership positions within the Gamma Tau chapter or international Phi Theta Kappa organization.
Members who maintain a GPA of at least 3.0 will be recognized at graduation, as well as on their official transcript and degree. Phi Theta Kappa membership looks great on a resume!
Many scholarship opportunities are available to Phi Theta Kappa members.
