While pursuing studies and joining in campus activities, there are things students need to know about LCC's policies on student conduct.
Students are responsible for their conduct at Lower Columbia College. These standards of conduct for students promote Lower Columbia College's educational purposes and provide students a full understanding of their rights and responsibilities.
Lower Columbia College provides equal opportunity in education and employment and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, perceived or actual physical or mental disability, pregnancy, genetic information, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, creed, religion, honorably discharged veteran or military status, or use of a trained guide dog or service animal.
In compliance with the language passed in the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008, institutions offering distance education must provide enrolled and prospective students with contact information for filing complaints with its accrediting agency, and with the appropriate state agency for handling complaints in the student's state.
The Higher Education Act (HEA) prohibits an institution of higher education from engaging in a "substantial misrepresentation of the nature of its educational program, its financial charges, or the employability of its graduates."
