High school students: you may be eligible for direct placement into a Math or English course.

If you graduated from a Washington State high school between the 2016 and 2018, you may be eligible for direct placement into an LCC Math or English course through a Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBAC). Scroll below for details.

Alternative placement options can save you hundreds of dollars in tuition!

SBAC Level 4

• MATH& 107 - Math in Society
• MATH 125 - Applied College Algebra
• MATH& 131 - Math for Elementary Teachers I
• MATH& 141 - Pre-Calculus I
• MATH 210 (or BUS 206) - Statistics

SBAC Level 3

• MATH 098/099 - Pre-College Math I
• MATH& 107 - Math in Society
• MATH& 131 - Math for Elementary Teachers I
• MATH 210 (or BUS 206) - Statistics

An entry-level calculus pathway math course, contingent on senior year math coursework. See High School Math Transfer Agreement.

SBAC Level 2 or Below

• Placement dependent on High School Math Transfer Agreement or placement score in Math Placement Exam.
