The Lower Columbia College Nursing Program has a long history of preparing graduates to be compassionate and competent nurses. Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible to take the examination for licensure as a registered nurse (NCLEX-RN®). Graduates are encouraged to continue their education in nursing.

The AN DTA/MRP degree and RN licensure prepare graduates for transfer as seniors to the following institutions in Washington: Heritage University, Pacific Lutheran University, St Martin’s University, Seattle Pacific University, UW Bothell, UW Seattle, WSU, WWU and Western Governors University. Applications for the full program are accepted twice a year, for a total of 60 openings – 20 students begin fall, winter, and spring quarters. Applications for entering LPNs are accepted once a year. Approximately 48 LPNs are selected in August for the LPN2RN eLearning program option which begins in September. The campus-based program has 4 to 6 openings each fall, winter, and spring quarter for LPNs to opt-in. These 12-18 LPN applicants are selected for admission in August each year. A Nursing Assistant course is available. Entry to the Nursing Program is not required for this course.
