Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs

The Vet Corps helps veterans and their family members navigate Washington’s higher education and training programs as veterans adjust from military to college life.

  • Veterans, spouses and dependents are eligible for positions
  • High school diploma required
  • Position starts September 1, 2019 (Alumni/current students encouraged)
  • Mandatory training at Central Washington University,  Aug 23-26
  • Full-time, 40-hours per week (with flexibility) for a total of 1,700 hours at the end of 10 months
  • Volunteer stipend is $1,343 a month
  • $5,730 education benefit awarded upon completion
