The 2020-21 Scholarship Applications are now open! Apply by March 1.

To apply for an instrumental, voice, or drama scholarship, students must:

  1. Apply to LCC (two weeks prior to applying for a scholarship)
  2. Apply for scholarships through the LCC Foundation Scholarships page.
  3. Complete FAFSA/WASFA application by April 7, 2020.
  4. Audition in person at the Rose Center (RCA) 102 on March 18, 2020, 4-6 pm.*

*Audition requirements: come prepared to perform a solo, song, or etude. Piano accompaniment is not required. Video submissions may be considered in place of a live audition.

Students, community members and college employees are welcome and encouraged to attend. Most events are free of charge.

Authors & Lectures

Community Conversations featuring weekly thought-provoking lecture topics presented by LCC faculty and local community leaders.

Northwest Voices presents author and poet writer workshops and readings in collaboration with the Longview Public Library and Washington State Arts Commission.

Vest Memorial Lecture held every spring in honor of William Vest, former Western Civilization and Political Science instructor at Lower Columbia College

Fine Arts

Forsberg Art Gallery featuring art exhibits by local and regional artists in a variety of mediums.

Minthorn International Gallery featuring the Minthorn Collection of Chinese Art at the bequest of Dr. and Mrs. Minthorn to the Lower Columbia College Foundation.

Salal Review literary and visual arts magazine featuring an inspired collection of artwork and literature by students, community members and LCC employees.

Performing Arts

Musical Performances by LCC choirs and bands consisting of of students and community members presented at the end of every academic quarter.

Center Stage Theatre presenting a quarterly play produced, directed and acted by students and community members under the direction of LCC's Drama Instructor.

National Theatre Live screen presentations of Britain's most acclaimed stage production through a groundbreaking project to present world-class theatre.
